Stenciled Concrete Patios
Paper stencils can be applied to fresh concrete to create the look of brick, stone or tile patterns. Often requiring less time and effort than traditional methods of stamping concrete, stencils impart the appearance of individual stones or bricks. Color, such as a dry-shake hardener or acid stain, can be applied to the surface of the concrete prior to removing the stencils. Because the stencils mask off the underlying surface, they leave behind realistic-looking “mortar joints”. When the stencils are removed, the color of the gray concrete base is unveiled in contrast to the other colored areas of the patio.
